Remembering Pat

One of Pat's greatest loves besides her family,  was her "Histio Family",  a group of others who had the same disease she had, Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis.

​Pat spent a lot of time reaching out to others online and helping them reach the right doctors and find the right treatment. These families are forever grateful for the time and love she put into helping them.

She was known to many as Mama Pat, always supporting her Histio family. She was one strong woman, friend, supporter and fighter and kept on fighting for so many years. I had the privilege of meeting Pat at our 2012 NYC histio awareness campaign and I am so glad I did. Even though Pat didn't feel the best, she pushed herself to be there with us in NYC because she felt so strongly about increasing awareness of histio. She leaves a lasting mark on us and we will always remember her.
