"Liam's Cupcakes 4 a Cure" was founded in honor of 20 month old Liam Schulze, who lost his battle post bone marrow transplant for Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). HLH is considered an "orphan disease" because it does not receive any government funding for research. Over 30 million Americans are affected by one of these 7,000 "rare" diseases. many of these diseases do not have organized fundraising to fund research and find a cure. We feel one person affected by one of these diseases is one too many and everyone deserves support, funding and hope for a cure. Through this unique concept of coming together as one force, with power in numbers as a community of others fighting the same battle, we no longer have to fight alone.
"Liam's Cupcakes 4 a Cure" is committed to raising funds to support research and awareness of these "rare" diseases. We will build a community for families that would otherwise feel alone in their battle against their disease. Together, with every cupcake sale, every cupcake sold, every dollar raised, we all come closer to our ultimate goal of a cure!
